Here at Strength Science Studios, we provide one-on-one personal training consisting of slow motion resistant strength and high-intensity interval training. We facilitate workouts that teach and train you to be your best, most healthy self while catering to the needs of your specific body type and age. Each workout is tailored to your specific needs for maximum results!
However, members only workout 30 minutes per week. Going a week between workouts gives your muscles time to recover, which is a key component of gaining strength. This may sound unusual, but at Strength Science, it’s enough to see a big difference!
One of our clients, Debbie, remarked that: “My body is reshaping and apparently, I’m walking with better posture and more confidence. I am excited that I have found a vehicle to strengthen my body and keep it much more functional as I age; there’s a lot more fun to be had in this body and I need to have it working properly for a long time!”
We want to emphasize that it’s never too late to get fit! As you age, it’s actually even more important to have an active lifestyle. A recent Swedish study found that physical activity was the number one contributor to longevity. Keeping active not only adds years to your life, it also adds life to your years.
Regular exercise helps increase metabolism, which typically slows with age, and builds muscle mass. Exercise also reduces the chance of developing illness or disease. People with a healthy lifestyle tend to have improved immune and digestive functioning, better blood pressure and bone density, and a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis and certain cancers.
Like Debbie has seen, regular exercise also improves strength, flexibility and posture. And with that, comes better balance, coordination and a reduced risk of falls.
Keeping active can also improve your mental health. Another member, Roy, said that Strength Science’s care is “methodical, consistent, challenging and fulfilling. Their interest is to see you become better physically, which then improves one’s mental & spiritual awareness.”
Regular exercise can help you fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply, and increase your chances of waking up feeling energized and refreshed. Additionally, exercise is a huge stress reliever and can help reduce feelings of sadness, depression, or anxiety. As another benefit, regular exercise also improves brain functions, such as creativity and multitasking.
As client Susan said, “I feel so much better and have more energy. I recommend it for anyone any age who has become too sedentary. Best money I’ve ever spent.”
